Dua For your child’s protection In English

I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every envious blameworthy eye.
Abu Dawud: 4737

5 Prophetic Ways to Protect Your Children from All Evil

Children are a trust of Allah. We must not only look after their physical, intellectual and spiritual needs, but we must also protect them.
Protecting our children from harm in this world is the responsibility of all parents.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reportedly said:

Each of you is a shepherd. And everyone is responsible for everything that is their responsibility. A man is like a shepherd of his own family and he is responsible for it.
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Whether it is living or invisible forces, the prophet counseled us on how to protect our children.

Here are 5 prophetic ways to protect your children:

1. Du’a for Protection

The Prophet used to say the following to ask for the protection of Allah for Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein:

u’eedhukumaa bi kalimaat-illaahi-taammati min kulli shayṭaninin, wa hammatin, wa min kulli aynin laammah.
I seek to protect you in the perfect words of Allah against all demons, all beasts and all evil eyes.
(Al-Bukhari 4/119)

It is advisable to tell this du’a about your children in the morning, in the evening and before leaving the house.

2. Recite the last three chapters of the Qur’an and Ayat ul-Kursi

Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas are well known for their protective properties. Recite these chapters in your hands and wipe them off before they sleep.
“Aisha said that:

When the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to bed every night, he held his hands together and blew in and recited Qul Huwa Allah Ahad, Qul a’oodhu bi Rabb il-falaq and Qul a’oodhu bi rabb in – nas. Then he wiped them with his whole body, starting with the head, the face, and the front of his body, and he did it three times.
(Al-Bukhari 5017)

An-Nasa’i reported that Ibn Abis Al-Juhani said that the Prophet had told him:

“O Ibn Abis! Should I guide you or inform you of the best thing that those seeking protection use for protection? “

He replied:
“Of course, O Messenger of Allah!’’
The Prophet said:

Say: “I seek refuge with the Lord of Al-Falaq. “And” Say, “I seek refuge with the Lord of humanity.” “These two suras (are the best protection.)

Similarly, Ayatul Kursi, the 255th verse of Surah Al-Baqarah, is renowned for its protection against Satan. Parents should include Ayatul Kursi in the daily recollection recited by their children.
Abu Hurayrah said:
The Messenger of Allah has charged me to keep the zakat of Ramadan. Someone came to me and started to catch (illegally) a handful of food. I grabbed it and said:
“I will take you to the Messenger of Allah.” He said: “I will teach you a few words by which Allah will be useful to you.
” I said, “What are they?
” He said, “When you go to bed, recite this ayah:” Allah! Ilaha illa Huwa (no one has the right to be revered, but Him), Al-Hayyul-Qayyoom (The ever-living, the one who supports and protects all that exists) … “(Surat al-Baqarah, 2: 255). Then Allah will appoint a guardian to stay with you and no Satan will come near you until morning.
” The Messenger of Allah asked me:
“What did your prisoner do last night?
” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, he taught me something and claimed that Allah would benefit from it.
” He said:
‘What was that?
‘ I said:
“He taught me to recite Ayatul kursi when I went to bed and said that no Satan would approach me before morning and that Allah would appoint me a guardian who would stay with me.
” The prophet said:

“He told you the truth, although he is an inveterate liar. It was Satan ‘(Al-Bukhari, Muslim)

3. Surah Al-Baqarah

The recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah is known to keep the devil away from his home. Since many tribulations are of a satanic nature (evil eye, possession, dark magic), keeping Satan away from home is fundamental to protecting your family.

Abu Hurayrah reports that the Messenger of Allah said:

“Do not make your houses tombs, for the Shaitan fled from a house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.” (Muslim, 780)

Sahl ibn Sa’d said that the Messenger of Allah said:

“Everything has a hillock (or a high peak), and Al-Baqarah is the top of the Qur’an. Anyone who recites Al-Baqarah at night in his house, Shaytan will not enter this house until three nights. If someone recites it for a day in his house, Shaytan will not enter this house for three days. (Abu Al-Qasim At-Tabarani)

4. Labels in the toilet

The toilets are a dirty area and the jinns are attracted to such dirty places. The prophet taught us ways to protect ourselves from their influence and the potential risks of using the toilet. It is important to teach these labels to children from an early age.
These include saying that the Sunna du’as comes in and out of the toilet.

It is good practice for parents to keep the daily newspaper of the day visible at home so that children can read it. Stick these du’as on your wall or keep them in appropriate places to encourage your children to seek protection in Allah and to help them memorize.

5. Precautions at the time of the Maghreb

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recommended not to leave our children outside during the Maghreb era, because at present, the demons are out. Practically, it means keeping them inside thirty minutes before the start of the Maghrib prayer and one hour after the beginning of it.
The Prophet said:

“When it gets dark, keep your kids inside, because the devils are outside right now. When one hour of the night passes, you can let them go.
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

The Prophet said:

“Do not send your cattle or your children when the sun goes down until the darkness of the night comes down, because the Satans are actually sent when the sun goes down until the darkness of the night lowers.
” (Muslim)

It is also recommended to cover food and drinks and close the doors and curtains of the house at the time of the Maghreb.
The Prophet said:

“Cover your dishes, close your containers, close your doors and keep your children indoors at dusk, as the jinn are outside and hunt.” (Al-Bukhari)

In all things, the prophet (peace be upon him) gave us the best and most comprehensive advice. The prophet Muhammad is the best example of protecting our children against evil in this world.

Adhere to his sunnah and it will be enough incha’Allah.
