Dua In Times Of Happiness In English

Glory is to Allah. Allah is the Most Great.
At-Tirmidhi 2:103

A powerful dua for happiness

Abdullah ibn Masūd (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet said, “No one (” no believer “in another report) suffers from anxiety or sorrow and then says:

(O Allah, I am your slave, the son of your slave and the son of your handmaid, your command over me is executed forever and your decree on me is right, I ask you by every name that belongs to you, which you are named with or revealed in your book, or you have taught to one of your creators, or you have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with you, that you make the Qur’an the life of my heart and the light of my chest, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anguish) except that Allah will remove his sorrow and replace it with happiness. “

They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, should we memorize these phrases (supplication)?” He replied, “Yes, anyone who hears these words must memorize them.” [1]

The collapse of Dua and its implications

“O Allah, I am your slave, the son of your slave and the son of your servant”

Ibn al-Qayyim said in his book, Zād al-Ma’ād [2], that these words are full of gratitude for who Allah is and that in this the worshiper calls the Lord, recognizes the Creator and presents himself. as a slave of Allah and son / daughter of his slaves.

The supplicant believer also places things in their place by acknowledging (the following):

1- that his destiny is under the control of Allah .
2- that his destiny is going according to the divine plan .
3- may Allah do whatever he pleases that the servant can neither bring benefit nor prejudice to himself .
4 – that he can not engender his own birth, death, or resurrection that he. 5-does not have the power to amend his decree except as Allah wills .
6 – that he is completely dependent on his Creator, Cherisher, Sustainer and Lord .
7 – that his own existence is subject to all that Allah decrees.
8-may Allah be right, and what he will want to be.

Your command over me is executed forever and your decree on me is right.

This part of the supplication highlights two important points related to the Oneness of Allah:
1- The first is the recognition and confirmation of destiny, and that the decree of Allah concerning his slaves will be perpetual, and that his slaves can not escape or repel him.
2- The second point is that Allah is right; He does not oppress his servants, and his decree proceeds by virtue of his knowledge and divine justice. It is because injustice represents the need, ignorance, incompetence, weakness, and inferiority of an unjust individual, and therefore such attributes are not divine and can not come from those who are Omniscient, Omniscient, Sage and needless. Allah is the Most Wise (Al-Hakeem), and so his wisdom is in effect wherever his will is executed and ordered.
Each atom and cell of the universe and all of its creation need him, but he is rich beyond need, and his will affects his whole creation, at any time and in any place. Belief in one’s wisdom must therefore be associated with full recognition and humble recognition that the slave is unaware of the full extent of the problems, even when perceived as difficult, since the Most Wise One do not oppress his slaves. He tests them to raise, purify, strengthen, and increase them in gratitude, direction, resilience, and determination. He plans his slaves better than they plan for themselves, and he wants the mercy and salvation of his slaves more than they want for themselves.
We need exemplary gratitude to Him and, therefore, He gives us more blessings for our worship action.

“And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed,” If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in blessings]; but if you deny, indeed, my punishment is severe. “” [3]

I ask you by every name that belongs to you, with which you are named, or revealed in your book, or that you have taught to one of your creations, or that you have preserved in the knowledge of the invisible with you …

The Messenger of Allah calling calls Allah by his beautiful names and attributes that he has named himself, revealed in his book, taught at any one of his creation, or preserved in the knowledge of the unseen – in the even the angels among His creation do not know them – in a powerful way, because such a prayer goes beyond the others and is dear to Allah and certainly deserves an answer, because it underlines the humility, the knowledge and the recognition of Lord of the slave. in the world.

… That you make the Qur’an the life of my heart and the light of my chest, a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety

The Quran, by Allah, is a curative treatment for all types of diseases in this world: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual, if only we take it as a treatment for everything, knowing that it is a way to rebalance the heart. and reconnect the heart to its original natural disposition.
The Qur’an, from Allah, is a light for all types of darkness in this world, if only we would embrace this light in a coherent way, knowing that it removes the darkness corrosions from the sin and carelessness that s ‘accumulate in our heart.
The Qur’an, from Allah, is a relief for all types of grief and anguish in this world, if only we resort to it constantly, with ease and difficulty, knowing that it is a way of eliminating stress, pain, anxiety. and sorrows.
The Quran as a treatment, however, only works to the extent of the patience and sincerity of the believer who embraces him, confident in his effectiveness and knowing that the will of Allah, with his speech as prescription, will lead to an excellent full recovery, because the promise of Allah is always fulfilled.

Nobody suffers from anxiety or sorrow, then says … except that Allah will remove his grief and replace it with happiness.

This is a guarantee of the Messenger of Allah who does not speak of religious matters of himself but rather of revelation [4]. This is a guarantee that whoever prays with this prayer, sincerely, humbly, with gratitude, persistently and patiently, will ensure that his sorrows are replaced by happiness. Whoever does it, however, should not quickly give up his supplication and should ideally apply as many du’ā tags as possible, such as repenting for his sins, being in a state of purification, facing the Qiblah, raising his hands , And so on.

They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, should we memorize these phrases (supplication)?” He replied, “Yes, anyone who hears these words should memorize them.”

This last part of the story recalls at least two important points:

1- It is important to take advantage of what we hear as believers, especially when it is advisable to do so. With this particular narrative in mind, remember that every human being will experience some type of grief or anxiety at some point in their lives, so it is wise for the believer to know these words. and often pray with them.
2- As believers, it is imperative to also share this du’a with others to help them come closer to Allah and relieve them of their hardships, by his will, while being rewarded for sharing our extremely beneficial knowledge. . He who encourages others to do good is rewarded equally – every time he performs this act – without the interpreter of this act losing any of his reward, as has been authentically reported.

Conclusion

This du’ā is one of the many reminders to bring us closer to Allah by the sincerity, humility, gratitude, submission and recognition of His Majesty and the status of His speech. Remember this invocation and its meanings, pray frequently with it and teach it to your loved ones, and may Allah the Exalted rectify your business, relieve you of your trials, and reward you immensely for your patience and good deeds in this matter. life and the next.
