Assalamoalaykum, I know that once a person is lowered into the grave, they can hear the footsteps of those who came to bury him. But, because of my curiosity, I want to ask you what happens to the person who died BUT BEFORE his burial? I mean, can he / she hear people
Perfect praise to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is no other worthy worship than Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam (may Allah extol his mention) is his slave and his messenger.
First of all, we advise you to avoid being curious and asking curious questions. You must refrain from investigating and searching for matters whose knowledge does not benefit you and ignorance that does not harm you.
Dear speaker, you should be concerned about what is good for you.
As far as your question is concerned, it is the unseen that can only be known by revelation texts (Quran or Sunnah), and we have not encountered any text dealing with this subject.
Among the texts that have been reported about what happens to the dead before it enters the grave, is the story of Abu Said Al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with what the prophet Sallallahuahayhi wa sallam ( may Allah extol his mention): “When the burial is ready (for burial) and people raise it on their shoulders, then if the deceased was a righteous person, (the soul) would say, ‘Take me in advance, ‘hurry to bury me!’ and if he was not right, then he would say, ‘Woe to me! Where are you taking me? ‘ His voice is heard by all but human beings; and if they heard it, they would fall unconscious. “[An-Nasaa’i and Ahmad]
We ask Allah to give us a good end of life and not to kill us except in a state that will satisfy him and not make him angry.
Allah knows best.
