She ran up and down the hills of Safa and Marwa seven times “that is why circumambulating the Kaaba seven times is an important ritual of Umrah and Hajj both.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Ismail began kicking the ground in his anxious mood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hagar was startled to see water pouring out of where Ismail was kicking.<\/span><\/p>\n

She gathered some water for herself and began feeding Ismail with care.<\/span><\/p>\n

The water that sprang forth became known as Zamzam’s holy water.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Before drinking, recite Bism Allah (In the name of God).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Supplications should be repeated.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • If at all feasible, face the qiblah.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Drink three or an odd number of drinks sips.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Drink a lot of water.<\/span><\/li>\n

    “When you drink from Zam Zam, turn to face the qiblah and mention the name of All\u0101h, drink three draughts and drink your fill of it. When you have finished, then praise All\u0101h.’ The Messenger of All\u0101h (peace and blessing upon him) said, ‘The sign [that differentiates] between the hypocrites and us is that they do not drink their fill from Zam Zam.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
