What is Witr Dua and prayer? The Witr is an Islamic prayer that is to be prayed at nighttime. Unlike the five daily prayers, Witr is not obligatory but highly recommended. Alongside fasting and the five daily prayers, the Witr is essential to the Islamic faith.<\/span><\/p>\n

Witr Dua<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

There are many options for performing Witr and, say, Witr Dua.<\/span><\/p>\n

One might choose to perform one rak’ah (e.g., prayer unit) Witr or an eleven rak’ah Witr, and one may very well decide to alternate between different ways of achieving the Witr.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allah humma inna nasta-eenoka wa nastaghfiruka wa nu minu bika wa natawakkalu alaika wa nusni alaikal khair, wa nashkuruka wala nakfuruka wa nakhla-oo wa natruku mai yafjuruka, Allah humma iyyaka na budu wa laka nusalli wa nasjud; wa ilaika nas aaa wa nahfizu wa narju rahma taka wa nakhshaa azaabaka; inna azaabaka bil kuffari mulhik.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Translation: Thank you, Allah! We seek pardon from You; we believe in You, rely on You, laud You, are grateful to You, are not ungrateful, and isolate and abandon those who defy You. Thank you, Allah! We worship You alone, pray and prostrate for You, and strive to please You and submit ourselves for service in Your cause, hoping for Your kindness but fearing Your wrath. Without a doubt, O Allah, Your wrath will fall on the unbelievers!<\/span><\/p>\n

Essential tips when performing Witr Dua

Follow these steps when performing Witr Dua and its prayers:<\/span><\/p>\n

Silently state your intention to pray Witr<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Indicate the number of Rakat you want to do during your Witr prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is essential to have good intentions and to pray to please Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Learn how to conduct one Witr rak’ah (prayer unit)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

To begin the rak’ah, stand up straight and pray.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then take a step forward and prostrate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, take a seat and prostrate yourself. You have now completed one Witr rak’ah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Begin by standing for a moment of prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maintain a firm grip on your left hand with your right hand while keeping your hands over your chest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bend at the waist and place your hands on your knees to bow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep your back straight and silently recite a recital to yourself (for example, Subhana Rabbiyal Adhim or How Perfect is my Lord, the Supreme).<\/span><\/p>\n

Place your forehead on the floor and your hands on each side to prostrate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep your elbows off the floor at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can do a recitation from this posture “Subhana Rabbiyal A’la, for example, means “How Perfect is My Lord, the Highest.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Say Tashahhud<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

In light of the talk about Witr Dua, this is an important step that you must take when praying.<\/span><\/p>\n

Place your hands on the backs of your thighs, near your knees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next, make a circle with your right hand closed and your thumb and middle finger touching.<\/span><\/p>\n

You tip your index finger in the direction of Qiblah.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tashahhud is next recited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bear testimony to God and Muhammad, his servant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teach yourself to recite the tasleem and to be a peacemaker<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

“Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,” sit down and turn your head to the right shoulder.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then you move your head to the left and repeat the same thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The peace offering, or tasleem, is now complete.<\/span><\/p>\n

For your Witr prayer, pray an odd number of rak’ah<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

One, three, five, seven, nine, or eleven rak’ah or prayer units are available to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, when praying Witr, you can pick from the following options:<\/span><\/p>\n

Witr is a one-rak’ah prayer. You’ve completed the Sunnah now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Witr is a three-rak’ah prayer. The three rak’ah Witr prayer can be said in two ways.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can pray the three Rakat in succession and then offer a final tashahhud in the first choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tashahhud is a faith test. After two Rakat, you utter the tasleem and then pray one more rak’ah in the second choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pray a rak’ah of Witr five or seven times.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you wish to do a five or seven rak’ah and say, Witr Dua, keep going until the rak’ah is finished, then offer one tashahhud and utter the tasleem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Witr, recite nine rak’ah. Continue to recite the rak’ah one after the other.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tashahhud should be performed in the ninth rak’ah.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ninth rak’ah should be used for the final tashahhud.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last but not least, recite the tasleem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Witr, recite eleven rak’ah. If you are praying an eleven-rak’ah Witr, utter tasleem every two Rakat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Witr Dua and prayers are strongly advised to be conducted by the Prophet Muhammad’s hadith.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Whoever performs the dhuha prayer fasts three days a month and never leaves the witr prayer either on a voyage and resides; the martyr’s reward is recorded for him.” \u2014 Hadith narrated by at-Thabrani.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A person with a millionaire’s position and fortune might be compared to today’s world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Consider how long it would take to amass riches and become a millionaire. Do we have to do it for ten years now and then? To become a millionaire in 30 years?<\/span><\/p>\n

However, by doing witr with only one rak’ah, we can achieve more than our dreams of being millionaires and having great wealth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Consider if the witr prayer is said for three or five rak’ahs.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many times can the riches envisioned with witrr be imagined?<\/span><\/p>\n

But this is only a story. The Prophet SAW stated that to help us understand the material image, the benefit obtained in the Hereafter is multiplied many times in heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

It appears to demonstrate how simple it is for us to become wealthy by taking only a few minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n
