I want to know, how should men dress in any country or environment, whether in an Islamic country or a non-Islamic country?

Reply

Praise be to Allah.

The following is a summary of decisions regarding the dress code of men. We ask Allah to make it sufficient and beneficial.

1.The fundamental principle concerning all that is worn is that it is halal and authorized, except that which is the subject of a text stating that it is forbidden, such as silk for men, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “These two [gold and silk] are forbidden for the males of my ummah and allowed for females.” Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 3640; classified as saheeh by al-Albaani to Sahih Ibn Maajah. Likewise, it is not permitted to wear the skin of a dead animal (death of natural cause) unless it has been tanned. Regarding the wearing of woolen, goat hair and camel hair clothes, these are pure and permitted. For more information on using the skin of dead animals after tanning, please refer to question no. 1695 and 9022.

2.It is not allowed to wear thin or transparent clothes that do not hide the ‘awrah.

3.It is forbidden to imitate mushrikeen and kuffaar in the way they dress, so it is forbidden to wear kuffaar clothes.

Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Ali wearing two safflower-dyed clothes and said: “These are kuffaar clothes do not wear them.

Reported by Muslim, 2077.

4.Women are forbidden to imitate men and men to imitate women in the way they dress, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) curses men who imitate women and women who imitate men. “al-Bukhaari, 5546.

It is the sunnah for a Muslim to start from the right when he gets dressed and say Bismillaah (in the name of Allah) and start from the left when he takes off his clothes.

Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When you get dressed and do things, start right,” reported Abu Dawood, 4141; classified as saheeh by al-Albaani in Sahih al-Jaami ‘, 787.

https://islamsciences.com/duas/dua-for-your-childs-protection/

It is the sunna for the one who puts on a new garment to thank Allah and do du’aa ‘.

It was reported that Abu Saeed said: When the Apostle of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) put on a new garment, he called it by name, whether it was a turban, a shirt or coat. Then he said, “Allaahumma laka al-hamd anta kasawtanihi as’aluka khayrahu wa khayri my suni’a lah wa a’oodhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri my suni’a lah (O Allah, to you, let everything be praised. One man said, “What if a man likes his clothes look great and his shoes are pretty?” He added, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty, arrogance means to reject the truth and despise people.”

Narrated by Muslim, 91.

8.It is essential to wear white clothes

It was reported that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Wear white clothes, because they are the best of your clothes, and wrap your dead in them.”

Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 994, hasan saheeh. This is what scholars regarded as mustahabb. Also narrated by Abu Dawood, 4061; Ibn Maajah, 1472.

9.It is forbidden for a Muslim man to wear the garment he wears hanging under his ankles (action known as isbaal); the limit for any garment is the ankles.

According to Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “All that the lower garment is under the ankles is in the fire.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5450.

Abu Dharr recounted that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are three persons to whom Allah will speak on the day of the resurrection and will not look at them or examine them, painful torment.” The Messenger Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) repeat it three times. Abu Dharr said, “Let them be condemned and lost, who are they, O messenger of Allah?”, He said, “He who lets his garment hang under his ankles, the one who reminds others the favors he has made, and the one who sells his product by false oaths. “

Narrated by Muslim, 106.

It is forbidden to wear clothes of glory and vanity, which means that they will be worn.

It was reported that Ibn ‘Umar had declared: The Prophet said: “Whoever wears a garment of glory and vanity, Allah dresses as it should be on the day of the resurrection”.

According to another version, “… then ignite.” And according to a third version, “will dress in a garment of humiliation”.

Reported by Abu Dawood, 4029; Ibn Maajah, 3606 and 3607; Sheikh al-Albaani at Sahih al-Targheeb, 2089.

The brother can also refer to the section where there is more information.

And Allah knows better.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SbXqbXKkGA

Dua When Wearing A Garment In Arabic Dua When Wearing A Garment In English Transcription .
