Suppose you want to borrow money from a friend. Would you go to the house, knock on the door and ask for money? Or do you want to greet him, inquire about his well-being, then ask?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Likewise, you miss a beautiful sunnah if you dive into your dua. When it comes to begging, praise Allah ‘azza wa jall first!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

From Anas ibn M\u0101lik (may Allah be pleased with him), [who] said:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He said: Proclaim the great distance of Allah, Mighty is He and Majestic, of every kind of imperfection [saying “subh\u0101nall\u0101h” ten times; glorify him with praise [saying “al-hamdulillah” ten times; and exalt his greatness above all things (saying ‘All\u0101hu akbar’ ten times. Then ask what you need, because he will say, “Indeed, I did it, because I did it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
