Explain the supplication
Allah mentioned many Duas (supplications) in the Qur’an that we can do in various situations. A number of these Duas have been invoked by various prophets in difficult situations. The following two verses of the Qur’an include Duas, which two of the prophets of Allah created in states of anxiety and distress. We can use the same Duas when we are faced with such situations.
Duo of the prophet Ayub facing extreme distress
Prophet Ayub who was a prosperous man with faith in Allah. He suffered many tests of Allah. His cattle were destroyed and his family crushed under his roof. As an additional test, he was covered with disgusting wounds from head to toe. But he firmly believed in Allah. He was a shining example of the patience of a great prophet of Allah, always confident in him and in his promises. With his humility, patience and faith in Allah, he fought and conquered evil. When he invoked Allah in his distress, Allah answered his prayer and removed the distress.
The Dua of the Prophet Yunus accepted his weakness during calamities
Prophet Yunus, who was the prophet, was raised to warn Nineveh, the Assyrian capital, immersed in wickedness. He was rejected by the people. When they did not heed his first warning, he denounced Allah’s wrath on them. But they repented and Allah forgave them for the moment. Meanwhile, the prophet Yunus left angry, discouraged by the apparent failure of his mission, forgetting that Allah has mercy and forgiveness. The prophet Yunus went to sea and took a ship. The ship was fully loaded and faced difficult weather conditions. The sailors, according to their superstition, wanted to know who was responsible for the bad luck. The spell fell on the prophet Yunus and he was rejected. He was swallowed by a big fish but in the depths of darkness, he shouted to Allah and confessed his weakness. All-Merciful Allah accepted his supplication and forgave him. He was thrown to the ground, protected from a plant and refreshed and strengthened. He continued his mission and his work flourished. Thus, he overcame all his disappointments through repentance and faith and Allah accepted him.
