‘Uthman took his muhaf that Abu Bakr commanded to be composed by Hafsah.

Then he chose four members of the committee, including Zayd ibn Thabit Sa’id ibn always and ‘Abdal-Qa to Basrah, who rewrote the mushaf of Abu Bakr; all of them were selected for their merits.

The only exception was Zayd and Sa’id, the other three were chosen for their specificity from the Quraysh due to the fact that t; thirds had to be written using the language of Quraysh as this was also the Quraysh dialect through that the Qur’an was read out.
