اَمْسَيْنَا وَاَمْسَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِيْ هَذَا اللَّيْلَةِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذَا اللَّيْلَةِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ، رَبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ، وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ، رَبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِيْ النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِيْ الْقَبْرِ.

Amsayna wa-amsal-mulku lillah walhamdu lillah la ilaha illal-lah, wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamd, wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeer, rabbi as-aluka khayra ma fee hathihil-laylah, wakhayra ma baAAdaha, wa-aAAoothu bika min sharri hathihil-laylah, washarri ma baAAdaha, rabbi aAAoothu bika minal-kasal, wasoo-il kibar, rabbi aAAoothu bika min AAathabin fin-nar, waAAathabin fil-qabr.

We have reached the evening and at this very time unto Allah belongs all sovereignty, and all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without a partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what follows it and I take refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I take refuge in You from laziness and senility. My Lord, I take refuge in You from torment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ.

O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. My Lord, I take refuge in You after being tormented in the fire and punished in the grave. ‘… In the same way, we say in the morning: Amsayna wa-amsal-mulku lillah ….’ We have reached the evening and at this very moment Allah belongs to all sovereignty …

‘ “We have arrived in the morning and at the present time to Allah, belongs to all sovereignty, and all praise is for Allah. No one has the right to be worshiped except Allah, alone, without a partner, to him all sovereignty and praise, and he is omnipotent. My Lord, I ask you the good of this day and the good of what follows and I take refuge in You against the evil of this day and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I take refuge in You against laziness and senility. My Lord, I take refuge in You torments of Fire and the punishment of the grave. ‘ :

(O Allah, by your leave we reach the morning by Your leave we live and die in the evening.) [In the evening:] (O Allah, by Your leave We have reached the evening by Your leave and we are reaching you by :

(O Allah, you are my Lord, no one has the right to be worshiped except you, you created me and I am your servant and I remain in your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in you the evil of which I have acknowledged your favor on me and my sin, then forgive me, for no one can forgive sin except you.) :

(O Allah, truly, I have reached the morning and I call you, the bearers of your throne, your angles and all your creation to testify that you are Allah, no one has the right to be worshiped except you, alone, without a partner and that Muhammad is your servant and messenger.) (four times in the morning and in the evening) (Note: for the evening, one reads (amsaytu) instead of (asbahtu).)

(O Allah, the blessing on which I or one of your creators has risen is from you alone, without a partner, then for you, all praise and to all of you, thank you.) (… Whoever says that the morning has really offered its day thank you and the one who says that in the evening has actually offered thanks for the night.) (Note: for the evening, we read (amsa) instead of (asbaha).)
