The turning point of this period was the liijnih of the Prophet of Mecca in Medina. It was after the hijrah that Muslims finally had a state in which they could practice their religion without fear.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the Quran met the specific needs of Muslims in Medina in a different way than it had done in Mecca.

There is a marked difference in the content of the verse, the style and the syntax of these two periods, reflecting the different circumstances in which the Muslims were. This subject is the subject of the verses malice et madanee.

The Qur’an has been preserved to such an extent that no book has ever equaled it.
This is not a surprise for a Muslim, because Allah I Iimsell has promised to safeguard him. the
The Qur’an says.

(إنا نحن نزلنا الذكر وإنا له لحافظون)

In truth, it is We who sent the clown Remembrance. and a deposit. We will keep it (from corruption.
The Quran has been preserved so carefully that not only the text
saved, but also all related knowledge necessary to understand it.

Among these aspects, there is the science of categorizing evil verses and sisters.
and those who are madanee.
The Prophet (^) did not specifically notice whether a verse was malice or madanee, but the Companions understood the importance of this subject and carefully preserved this knowledge because it is essential in understanding the Qur’an. Ibn Mas’ood
said: “I swear by Allah, besides whom there is no other god, there is no Soorah in the Qur’an except that I know where it has been revealed. So to know the Makkee and Madanee Verses is really useful.

And there is not a single verse in the Quran except that I know the reason for its revelation. And if there was one person who knew more about the Qur’an than me, and it was possible for me to
reach it. I would ride (on my camel) towards him (to have this knowledge).

The Knowledge of Makkee and Madanee Verses:

There are two ways to know if a verse or soorah is malice or madness.

The first is to rely on the reports of the Companions; in other words, a Companion specifically indicates the place and / or time of revelation or gives external information from which the time of revelation can be deduced. The second way is through personal reasoning or ijtihad. In this method, a scholar will take into account the meaning and style of the verses and will try to ‘presume’ if the verse is malice or madness.
These two methods are not equivalent in acceptability.

The definition of Makkee and Madanee

There are three methodologies by which misdirected revelations and manganese are defined.
The first definition is based on the time of revelation, taking the hijrak of the Prophet as a factor of division.

According to this definition, if a verse was revealed before the hijrah, it is considered a mass, and if it is revealed after the hijrah, it is considered madanee.

This definition ignores the real place of revelation. Therefore, these verses revealed at the farewell pilgrimage (8 p.m.), or the conquest of Mecca (10 p.m.), would be considered madanee by this definition, even if the Real place of revelation was Makkah.

The criterion according to this definition, again, is the time of revelation, not the place. This is the strongest of the three definitions, because it is the most beneficial, and is therefore the most used by scholars of Islam.
