Women are more likely than males to wear jewelry and decorations in their culture.
The goal of wearing jewelry is to enhance one’s appearance. Throughout history, women of all ages have used jewels and trinkets to improve their appearance.
Women are allowed to wear jewelry in Islam. We can corroborate this by referring to the following Quranic scripture from Surah Zukhruf:
“Do they attribute to Him˺ those brought up in fineries and not commanding in disputes?” __ Surah Al-Zukhruf 18:43
This passage affirms the permissibility of decorations for women, describing jewelry as “natural” for ladies.
With the following hadith, reported by Abu Musa Ashari, the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) expanded on this understanding:
“Wearing of silken clothes and ornaments of gold is unlawful for the men of my Ummah but lawful for the women.” __ Narrated by Abu Musa Ashari
This hadith clearly shows the permissibility of gold jewelry for ladies.
It does, however, state that males are not allowed to wear them.

Ibn Qudama, a Hanbali school of thought professor, says:
“It is permissible for women to wear all kinds of gold and silver adornments as well as jewelry according to what is common in their customs, such as bracelets, anklets, earrings, rings, and what they wear on their faces, necks, hands, legs, ears and the like. However, it is prohibited for women to wear what is unfamiliar to them, such as the belt and the like of men’s adornment. This is likewise if a man wears female ornaments.”
Ibn Qudama was a Muslim who lived in the seventh century.

However, according to Ayesha, the Prophet Muhammad’s wife, ear piercings are permissible for women.
She related an incident in which Umm Zar talked about her husband, Abu Zar, adorning her ears with jewelry.
The Prophet Muhammad then said to Ayesha:
“I am to you as Abu Zar was to Umm Zar.” — Narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim
As a result, the Prophet Muhammad didn’t mind ladies wearing ear jewels.
He approved of Abu Zar giving his wife ear jewelry until it grew too heavy for her.
The earring was also worn by Safiya, the Prophet’s wife, and the wives of the Prophet’s companions.
When it comes to the discomfort connected with obtaining an ear piercing, it’s moderate and goes away soon.
According to experts, females should receive ear piercings while young since the ear cartilage is delicate and heals rapidly.
Ear piercings are less painful at a younger age due to this.
There are a few things that ladies should be aware of in this regard.
First and foremost, ladies should refrain from getting piercings from non-mahram.
They should also avoid showing their piercings to non-mahrams, which is prohibited in Islam.
