Justice refers to equality in the granting of rights and the durability of obligations without discrimination for any reason whatsoever, whether for religion, race or color. As we know, Islam comes from the word “salam” meaning “peace” and, since religion, Islam is based on total submission to the will of the Lord. We Muslims believe that we can only achieve real peace when we submit to our Lord, the Creator of this world and everything in it. So the Justice in Islam is really important.

Justice in Islam
Justice in Islam also means giving equal rights and treatment to others. Justice is a moral virtue and an attribute of the human personality. Justice is close to equality in that it creates a state of balance in the distribution of rights and duties, but they are not identical. The Prophet (SAW) said about justice in Islam in a way: “There are seven categories of people whom God will shelter under His shadow on the day when there will be no shadow except his own. (One is) the righteous ruler. “(Sahih Muslim).
Justice according to the Quran
In Islam, justice is considered the supreme virtue. In the Holy Quran Allah Almighty mentioned about Justice on several occasions that we will discuss below:
Allah Almighty said in the Quran: “God commands righteousness and fair use …” (Quran 16:90). From this verse, we can conclude that Allah has commanded us to do justice and to act fairly in all aspects of life, whether small or large. In another verse of the Qur’an relating to righteousness, Allah the Almighty says: “O you who believe, be righteous for God, and bear witness with righteousness!” (Quran 5: 8) Therefore, we can conclude that justice is an obligation of Islam and that injustice is forbidden. The place or importance of justice in the Quranic system of values is shown by the following verse: “We sent our messengers with clear signs and sent with them the book and the measure to establish justice among the people. … “(Quran 57: 25)
The only purpose of sending the prophets was to establish justice in the world and to put an end to injustice. To do justice means to give everyone his right. But this simple statement covers all the complexities of life in their endless and changing relationships; all the attraction; all conflicts and problems. To guide people, Allah sent down the Prophets with clear signs, the Book and the Libra. The book contains the revelations that explain what is right and wrong or right and wrong. From the sacred book, we can understand what is right or wrong and what Allah has commanded us.
In another verse of the Holy Quran, Allah says, “… Allah loves those who act righteously.” (Quran 60: 8) From this verse, we can conclude that the Quran spells out the distinction between good and evil through keen commanders concerning justice. Allah has asked His worshipers to maintain the justice system even if the conditions and circumstances are against family and kinship. The Quran related it as: “O you who have believed, stand firm, be witnesses to Allah, even if it is against you or against your parents and relatives. poor, Allah is more worthy of both … “(Quran 4: 135).
In dealing with his enemy, one is not strong enough to do justice because hate exceeds the sublime feelings of justice. Despite this, the Quran has asked to fear Allah and to establish justice with an enemy. Allah is all-vigilant, observes everything, and will hold a person responsible for an inch of injustice if it has occurred. In other words, you can not do injustice even when dealing with the enemy. So There is no substitute for Justice in Islam.
The Quran also refers to particular cases and contexts of justice. Such an example is the requirement for just treatment of orphans. In the Holy Quran, Allah the Almighty said: “And do not approach the property of the fatherless, except in the most just way, until he reaches the age of full strength, and give measure and weight with justice … “(Quran 6: 152)
Justice according to the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW)
The Prophet (SAW) asked to be fair and kind. He (SAW) has always had to deal with people and their affairs as supreme judge, reformer, apostle and leader of Muslims. In the conduct of justice, our beloved Prophet (SAW) made no distinction between believers and unbelievers, friends and enemies, high and low.
There are so many examples of Justice of the Prophet’s Life (SAW) from us that inspire us and deliver justice in all aspects of life. Here we will discuss some of them:
A woman from the Makhzoom family with good relations was found guilty of theft. For the prestige of the Quraish, some personalities, including Usaamah Ibn Zayd, may Allah be pleased with him, interceded to save the punishment. The Prophet (SAW) refused to forgive the crime and said his dissatisfaction by saying, “Many communities are ruined in the past because they are not only punishing the poor and ignoring the insults of the exalted.” Muhammad (Ma) Fatimah had committed a robbery, his main was cut off. “(Bukhari)
Allah has commanded his messengers to establish justice and spoke to them in an affirmative tone, as quoted in Hadith: “O My slaves, I have forbidden injustice for myself and forbidden for you also. avoid being unfair to one another. “(Sahih Muslim)
Allah hates a leader who has conferred supremacy while ignoring justice. Allah dispossessed him of His shadow in His territory on the day of estimation as Hadith says: “There are seven categories of people that God will shelter in the shadow of His throne the day that there is no other shadow That this one. “(Sahih Muslim)
In another hadith, the Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “The people, guard against injustice, injustice will be darkness on the Day of Judgment” (Musnad Ahmed). We must therefore say that we must know justice and injustice, if we know, we can act according to that. Justice with great meanings that serves unjust reports, pronouncing words that can bless the feelings and skewed feelings towards the being of the other. So the Justice in Islam isindispensable.
Justice is an essential part of Islamic teachings and part of every messenger of faith. The foundation of a territory is the justice that Allah loved for His worshiper and also agreed to His messenger. Those who neglect justice will be in the lowest slope of hell and the oppressed will become their rights.
