Surah Qadr is one of the surahs that were revealed at Makkah previously, and It is made up of five verses. It is named after the most sacred night, Lailatul Qadr, unveiled it.
Surah Qadr
Every Surah in the Holy Quran has its significance and benefits, since Allah (ﷻ) has created everything for a reason.
Surah Qadr is the 97th Surah of the Holy Quran, and it contains five verses that discuss the significance of the lovely night.
“We sent down the Quran in the night of glory,” reads the first verse, widely known as Laylatul Qadr or Shab e Qadar.
”Find out the night of glory in the last Ashra of Ramadan’ which means the last odd ten days of Ramadan.” remarked Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (ﷺ).
This night is kept secret because it has so many benefits that if individuals worship and beg for forgiveness on this night, it is enough to pardon the entire Ummah.
As a result, it’s one of the five nights of Ramadan in which it’s supposed to be discovered by worshipping on all of them; however, there are hints that it’s the 27th night.
Hazrat Ubai bin Kaab (R.A.), a companion (Sahabi e Rasool) of the Prophet Mohammad (R.A.), stated, “I take vow (Kasam) that it is the 27th night of Ramadan.”

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍۢ
سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ

Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem
Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr
Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr
Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr
Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr
Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la’il fajr

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Indeed, we sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree.
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
Peace is until the emergence of dawn.
Lailatul Qadr’s Fazail:

- According to certain Ulama, angels are said to be born on this night.
- The preparations for the creation of Hazrat Syedana Adam (A.S.) are finished on this night.
- On this night of blessings, the trees in Jannah are also sown.

On this night, whoever gives prayer and worship is granted more than 83 years and four months.

This night’s worship and Qiyam are more excellent and superior to the worship and Qiyam of thousands of nights.
Acceptance Of Dua And Prayer
Acceptance of dua is another name for this night.
On this night of the Muslim Ummah, all prayers and Duas are accepted.
Lailatul Qadr’s Uniqueness
Allah decides, and angels write all Muslims’ schedules of vital and insignificant chores and events on this night of blessings.
A Mujahid’s Ajr
The Ajar of a Muslim who battles in Allah’s path for Allah and His Prophet Hazrat Muhammad is gained by reciting Surah Qadr with a loud voice (S.A.W.).
The Ajr of a Martyr
The Ajr of a martyr will be given to the person who recites this wonderful Surah in an audible whisper.
Sins Can Be Forgiven
If a person recites Surah e-Qadr ten times a day, he will be pardoned for 1000 sins.

All prior sins will be forgiven, and a person’s status in the Akhirah will be enhanced if he recites Surah Qadr Verses in his obligatory prayers.
