Dua On Hearing Athan In English -2

O Allah , Lord of this perfect call and established prayer. Grant Muhammad the intercession and favor, and raise him to the honored station You have promised him,

. Al-Bukhari 1:152

What can I say when I hear the Adhan? 5 things

1- The Sunnah recommends that during the call of the adhan (call to prayer), one must listen carefully and repeat each line silently after the Mu’adhin (the one who calls for prayer), but when he says “Hayya” ala-Salah “(come to prayer) and” Hayya ‘ala-l-falah “(come to success), you should say:

The hawla wa the quwwata illa billah (There is no power or power except with Allah)
The prophet Muhammad said:
“When you hear the adhan, repeat what the mu’adhin says.” (Imam Malik – Muwatta)

2 – Invoke blessings to the Prophet (peace be upon him)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“When you hear the Mu’adhin’s call to prayer, repeat his words, then ask Allah to bless me, because whoever asks me once will be rewarded with ten blessings from Allah.” (Muslim, The Book of prayer, Hadith 384)
The text of As-Salawat Al-Ibrahimiah is:
Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammadin, Kama sallayta ala Ibrahima wa ala ali Ibrahima innaka Hameedun Majeed. Allahumma Barik ala Muhammadin wa ala aali Muhammadin kama barakta ala Ibrahima wa ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hameedun Majeed.
(ie O Allah, give your favor to Muhammad and Muhammad’s family as you have bestowed your favor on Ibrahim and Ibrahim’s family. You are praiseworthy, Most glorious. bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad like you, blessed Ibrahim and Ibrahim’s family, you are laudable, very glorious). (Al-Bukhari, The Prophet’s Story Book, Hadith 3370)

3- After the Adhan, it is recommended to say this Dua (supplication):

Allah-ula rabba hadhihi-d-da’awati-t-tammati wa-s-Salati-l-qa’imati, ati Muhammadan il-wasilata wa-l-fadilata (wa-d-darajata-r-rafi’ati) wa- b’ath-hu maqamam mahmudan illadhi wa’adtahu (innaka the tukhliful mi’ad).
(O Allah, Lord of this most perfect call and of the prayer on the point of being established, grant Muhammad the favor of his nearness, his excellence and his place of distinction, and elevate him to a position of You promised him.)
This du’a has variants that include ‘wa-d-darajata-r-rafi’ati’ and ‘innaka la tukhlifu’l mi’ad’.
The addition of “innaka the tukhlifu’l mi’ad” to the supplication was narrated by Imam Bayhaqi in his sunan and accepted as an action of scholars, as mentioned by Ibn Abidin in Radd al-Muhtar, citing Imdad al -Fattah of Shurunbulali. and Fath al-Qadir of Ibn al-Humam.
Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whoever, after listening to the adhan, says (the dua is given above), intercession for me will be allowed to him on the day of the resurrection”. (Sahih Bukhari – Book 11: 588)
Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-‘As reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying:
“When you hear the Adhan, repeat what the Mu’adhin says. Then ask Allah to exalt my mention, for whoever does it will receive in return 10 of Allah’s rewards. Then implore Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah (which is said in the dua above), which is a high rank in Jannah, fitting to a single slave of Allah; and I hope I will be that man. If someone asks Al Wasilah, it is my responsibility to intercede for him. (Sahih Muslim)

The listener should say after hearing Adhan:

Wa anaa ‘ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ‘anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu, radheetu billaahi Rabban, wa bi-Muhammadin Rasoolan wa bil’islaami deenan.

(And I also testify to the fact that no deity has the right to be worshiped, it is Allah alone, who has no partner and Muhammad is his slave and his messenger.) I am satisfied with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my messenger and with Islam as my religion.)
(To recite in Arabic after the Tashahhud of Mu’aththin or words of affirmation of faith) (Muslim, The Book of Prayer, Hadith 386).

5 – Make Dua to Allah between Adhan and Iqamah

Finally, you can ask Allah, the Almighty, anything for you and ask for the grace of Allah, because your supplication will receive an answer this time. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Repeat the words of Muadhin and when you are finished, ask Allah what you want and you will get it” (Abu Dawud, The Book of Prayer, Hadith 524) (“Kitab As salat” Dawud :: Book 2: Hadith 521) Narrated by Anas ibn Malik: “The supplication made between adhan and iqamah is not rejected.” Summary of what we should do when we hear Adhan
1- Stay focused on the adhan.
2. Repeat what the muadhin say, except hayya alas-salah and hayya-ala-falah. Instead, say hawla walakuata illa billah.
3. After adhan sent salah to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)
4. Then say the dua ‘wasilah
5. Do dua between azan and iqamah.
